Who are we?
We are Kelly and Tony, a couple of average (or not so average), middle aged, expat wannabes from Canada, trying to find our way in this world.
Kelly (that’s me) is the organizer, money manager, planner, adventurer, artist and a bit of a loner.
Tony (that’s my husband) is funny, cautious, a worrier, a wonderful actor, and a social animal.
Together we are the navigator (Kelly) and the social director (Tony) on the cruise ship of life. I’m not sure who the captain is; maybe he abandoned ship long ago. Just as well, because we don’t like taking orders (and, we have never been on a cruise ship).
Here’s the deal. We don’t have high paying jobs, or careers, we just have jobs that we have been working at for the past 30+ years. We have worked hard for everything we have, but we are not wealthy (materially speaking), so how are we going to afford to travel and/or move abroad? That is what we are going to find out. It seems like this has been the way we have lived our lives for the past 25 years, just figuring it out as we go along. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t, but that is all part of the adventure called LIFE. Our expat adventure begins.
If you are expat wannabes (like us) or you have already made the move, we’d love to hear from you. In fact, if you have a story to tell or an experience you’d like to share please go to our Tell Us Your Expat Stories page and fill out the form, we would love to hear form you and share your stories.
